About the Film
A short fantasy drama about identity, belonging, resilience, and the quiet power of choosing to be seen.
Shayla follows a young girl whose ordinary school day begins to reveal something extraordinary beneath the surface. As she faces bullying, self-doubt, and a world eager to define her, Shayla is forced to confront the fight within and recognize the strength she carries.
The film blends grounded coming-of-age drama with fantasy imagery to explore identity, belonging, inner conflict, and the courage it takes to recognize who you are.
