Project Overview
Weekend Warriors is a supernatural comedy short about two underpaid diner workers whose bad weekend choices pull them into a much bigger conflict than either of them expected.
Jack Metzler and Ronni Dombrowski work at The Burger Hole, an ordinary American-style diner filled with bad shifts, awkward coworkers, cheap food, and one truly awful manager. Their friendship is built on sarcasm, shared frustration, and the kind of exhausted loyalty that comes from surviving customer service together.
Then Jack gets her hands on a mysterious book of spells. What starts as a strange curiosity quickly turns into something more dangerous, setting Jack and Ronni on opposite sides of a supernatural problem neither one is prepared to handle. With demonic forces, angelic power, workplace drama, and a lunch-rush level of chaos closing in around them, the two friends have to figure out whether their friendship can survive the weekend.
The tone of Weekend Warriors blends diner comedy, fantasy action, and irreverent supernatural horror. Cosmic stakes are filtered through the everyday frustrations of low-wage work, bad bosses, awkward crushes, and friends who may or may not be making terrible decisions.
Fast, funny, and strange, Weekend Warriors is a genre comedy about ordinary people getting caught between Heaven, Hell, and the worst job they have ever had.
