The FiNe Baking Company

Project Overview

The FiNe Baking Company project is a promotional video created to highlight the story, craft, and personality behind a West Seattle bakery. Rather than simply presenting products on display, the piece focuses on founder Chely Smithgall and the care that goes into her work. The video traces her path from a previous professional life into baking, while showing the detail, color, and texture of custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and celebration desserts. 

For Radio Tribe Productions, the project was an opportunity to bring a filmmaker’s eye to small business storytelling. The goal was to make the bakery feel personal, warm, and specific, giving viewers a sense of the person behind the counter as well as the quality of the work being made. 

The finished video combines interview, product imagery, and observational detail to create a portrait of a local business built on craft, service, and genuine connection with customers.
